A: Depending on the part ordered, your used part will arrive either on a 3x3 pallet, shrink wrapped and drained of all fluids. Your remanufactured part will arrive in a POD. A POD is a special container designed for the shipping of the part and core return. You will find carrier and tracking information by shipping tracker tool we have incorporated on our website.
A: You will receive an interchangeable engine or transmission for your vehicle. Our VIN compatibility tool will assure that your part fits your exact vehicle. Engines and Transmissions are made to fit within a number of production years for specific makes and models.
A: Our checkout process is designed to verify compatibility of your part, based on VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), which you will be asked to enter during the checkout. Your credit card will not be processed until verification is complete. Should we need any additional information, you will be contacted by a member of our technical support.
A: Engines come complete, without AC Compressor, Starter, Alternator or Power Steering Pump. Parts left on the engine block are for convenience purposes only
A: You will receive an engine which is commonly known as a "long block engine." A long block is an engine sub-assembly that consists of the assembled block, crankshaft, cylinder head, camshaft, valve train, gaskets and oil pump. There are certain parts, such as the oil pan, valve covers, timing covers, and intake manifold are usually removed. The power steering pump, starter, AC compressor and alternator are not included. To make the installation process easier for you, we offer an Engine Installation Kit. Our Engine Installation Kit includes the following: Filters, various tune up items, distributor caps, rotors, plug wires, spark plugs, belts, radiator hoses, new water pump, new mechanical fuel pump (if applicable), thermostat and radiator cap. Parts included in the Engine Installation Kit may vary based on the specifications of the engine. We will verify compatibility of the Engine Installation Kit, based on the VIN number provided at checkout.
A: Yes, our Used and Remanufactured transmissions always come with torque converter.
A: To qualify for our free shipping service, customer’s delivery address must be in commercially zoned location. Home business is not considered as commercial address. Commercial/ Business address location is capable of receiving freight without the need of prior notification or appointment setup and capability of unloading with forklift from the delivery truck. Please ship directly to your repair shop or dealership performing repairs to utilize free shipping with us. Under normal circumstances order are received within 7-10 Business Days (Excluding weekends and Holidays). However, due to increasing order volumes, weather conditions or circumstances beyond our control, we will ship your order out as soon as possible. Please note all shipping times are estimates and not guarantees. Car Part Planet will not be responsible for any additional fees that carrier may charge due to re-delivery or storage. All engines and transmissions are inspected before shipping to purchaser. However, damage may occur during shipping. We request that customers inspect all engines and transmissions at the time of delivery for any damage. Report damaged, wrong or missing parts before signing any shipping documents. Damage, wrong or missing parts should be reported by the purchaser at the time of delivery. Failure to report damages before signing shipping documents, places responsibility on purchaser (receiver). Purchaser refers to any representative of the company designated to sign for delivery.
A: Most credit cards are accepted through our website. Payments are also accepted in the form of Chase QuickPay. Please note, your payment has to clear before your item will ship.
